Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during groundworks for an extension to a sewage treatment works which lay at the south-east edge of a wood. A short length of ditch and bank forming part of a boundary survived at the northern edge of the wood. This was probably a medieval feature, indicating the wood to have been of some significance as a hunting resource. During the watching brief, a broad ditch and two smaller ditches were identified, but no associated dating material was found. [AIP] |
