Abstract: |
<summary>Fieldwalking was undertaken after topsoil-stripping and recorded observations were made along the route of the Lapford to Morchard Bishop water-main. Very few finds - mostly post-medieval pottery sherds, plus one struck flint - were recovered during fieldwalking. No archaeological features were noted. It was considered likely that centuries of ploughing in this very fertile area would have destroyed most of the archaeological deposits. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
