Abstract: |
<summary>Evaluation of an area situated on the proposed route of a by-pass, adjacent to the site of the medieval St John's Hospital, comprised a micro-contour survey and limited trial-trenching. Medieval enclosure ditches and field systems were identified to the west of the hospital, whilst earthwork features to the south were identified as drainage features of 17th/18th century date - though an earlier date could not be dismissed. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
