Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief monitored the excavation of foundations for an extension to a building. Excavation of the foundation trenches revealed evidence of at least three phases of occupation. Apparently the earliest, and most significantof these, was represented by a Late Saxon refuse pit that contained pottery and animal bone. A gully and pit, both undated, were also recorded.
