Abstract: |
Following an archaeological evaluation of the route of a proposed cable trench to the east of the Abbey church an archaeological watching brief was mounted over the excavation of the trench. The majority of the deposits resulted from the clearance of the Abbey church in the 1920's. These included a number of architectural fragments and floor tiles. A single section of wall and three archaeological deposits were believed to have been in situ remains of medieval date. [Au] |
