Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken in respect of a planning application for the development of a new science building. Four trenches were excavated but revealed very little of archaeological significance. A single sherd of Roman pottery, dating from the 2nd century AD, was retrieved from a possible buried ploughsoil in Trench 4. A small pit or post hole, of unknown date, was also revealed in Trench 4. The other trenches proved to be archaeologically sterile. [Au(abr)] |
