Abstract: |
<summary>"Evaluation" of an area through trenching, in advance of quarrying, revealed a rich prehistoric landscape. Neolithic or Bronze Age settlement was found on the gravel "island" and channel fill, whilst a wooden platform was excavated which was built into a palaeochannel. There was good environmental potential across the site. Unfortunately, only 2% of the area could be sampled before quarrying restricted access. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
