Abstract: |
A strip, map and sample excavation for an extension to the existing quarry at Steer Point was undertaken. The site covered an area of c.3 hectares on which the majority of soil overburden had been previously removed. No evidence for pre-modern archaeological activity was present, with the only features recorded comprising a series of modern clay-filled field drains. No finds were recovered. [Au(abr)] |
