Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out on the site of Down Lodge, built in 1803, prior to site redevelopment for housing. Five test pits were excavated, the lack of pre-modern finds indicated that the site of Down Lodge was not used, nor that its name reflected the location of the medieval manor of Downe. [Au(adp)] |
