Abstract: |
The work was carried out as part of the Tower Environs Scheme, a major project to enhance the setting of the Tower of London. The investigation revealed a 17th century revetment wall, with an associated cobbled surface. Later revetment walls had superseded the 17th century structure, which had been buried beneath a sequence of levelling deposits. [Au(abr)] |
