Abstract: |
An evaluation was undertaken in support for an application for the proposed construction of manager's quarters for the Youth Hostel. The site was part of the Dominican Beverley Friary Scheduled Ancient Monument. A modern path was thought to seal archaeological remains, and an east-west chalk foundation was probably related to the construction of the Friary. Any remains were not thought to be threatened by the development, but a programme of archaeological works was thought to be required. [Au(adp)] |
