Abstract: |
A visit was made to the site in order to inspect the hand excavated foundation trenches for an extension to the existing building. No obvious features were visible in the trench sections although the area had clearly suffered quite severe disturbance in recent history. It was possible that an ashy lens observed with the layer could have been the remains of a truncated archaeological features. The finds recovered from the site were indicative of medieval activity on the site but could have been the result of manure spreading on agricultural land rather than occupation. [Au(adp)] |
