Abstract: |
<summary>An evaluation was carried out at a proposed redevelopment site. Previous excavations in the near vicinity had recorded activity dating from the Neolithic to the Iron Age, as well as Roman buildings and a cemetery. The site had been used as a burial ground during the 18th century. Two trenches were excavated, and Roman pottery and building material were found. Six Roman burials, several pits and a gully were discovered. 28 post-medieval skeletons were excavated. No recommendations were made concerning further work. {italon}AIP{italoff}{spacea} |
