Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was carried out during the diversion of a high-pressure government pipeline. Substantial areas within the scheme of investigation were found to be archaeologically sterile due to the effects of previous mining operations. Low densities of archaeological features were exposed on the north side of the development, close to the River Devon. Whilst some of these features may have been associated with some form of industrial processing, all remained undated due to a general lack of associated diagnostic artefacts. [Au(abr)] |
