Abstract: |
Trial trenches were excavated on the site of the former Water Works. The nearby natural spring known as Seething Well seems to have been a sacred area, with ritual deposits, from at least the Neolithic period. However the evaluation revealed a typical history of land usage with little activity until the 18th century. [AIP] |
