Abstract: |
Four evaluation trenches were machine excavated at the site, A large ditch and a parallel smaller ditch were identified close to the southern boundary of the site. 19th century finds were recovered from the top fills of the features but the ditches were identified as being part of the Iron Age defensive earthwork, around the enclosure of 'Danish Camp'.
