Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation initially comprised nine trenches. Five trenches located in the eastern area demonstrated that no archaeological deposits had survived. Three of four trenches in the West Wing revealed a concentration of Late Bronze Age ditches and pits. Two more excavation areas were opened and revealed evidence for continued occupation in the Late Bronze Age, including an east west ditch with recut, and other, Late Bronze Age ditches running north-south. Also several postholes and pits, including to quarry pits to the north of the area were found.[Au(abr)] |
