Abstract: |
The building recording and watching brief established that the large farmstead originally dated from the 17th century or earlier and was likely to have been built on former property of Bordesley after the Dissolution. In the 19th century the farm carried out the traditional farmhouse industry of making cheese. The growth of the farm in the 18th and 19th centuries indicated that it was gradually increasing the amount of land it farmed and therefore increased its wealth. [Au(abr)] |
