Abstract: |
A programme of field evaluation was undertaken to further evaluate the footprint of building P-4. Previous work had identified Bronze Age occupation horizons, associated with a buried soil layer, within and around the building. Six trial trenches were positioned to investigate anomalies revealed by a geophysical survey. The evaluation identified two small isolated spreads of daub and charcoal within the prehistoric buried soil. One of these was excavated and sampled. No other evidence for prehistoric activity was encountered. [Au] |
