Two evaluation trenches were excavated at the site and a watching brief on repairs of cliff line to prevent erosion was carried out, on a site where Palaeolithic hand-axes had been recovered. Alluvial filled channels were identified and geological horizons were noted. No Palaeolithic archaeological remains were found. [Au(abr)]
