Abstract: |
Scanning found the background levels of response to be generally low. Isolated anomalies were identified and detailed survey was carried out both to covered these and to test the 'blank' areas. Detailed magnetic survey supported the scanning results. A small group of responses adjacent to the Roman road may have some archaeological potential, however, the modern activity in the immediate vicinity made any conclusion tentative. Elsewhere, ridge and furrow cultivation was noted in several of the survey blocks. Weak and isolated trends and anomalies were identified throughout the data. [Au(abr)] |
