Abstract: |
A single trench contained a sequence of later post-medieval and modern deposits, overlaying a Pleistocene gravel terrace. This was thought to be significant, especially as three chert artefacts relating to tool manufacture in the Pleistocene period were recovered. Future groundwork was advised to be monitored carefully in case other evidence for past activity was present. [Au(adp)] |
