Fieldwalking on the proposed line of a road improvement scheme recovered post-medieval and modern aretfacts. Auger survey recorded a general pattern of chalk underlying a clayey loam topsoil with evidence of colluvial deposits and probable plateau gravels toward the east of the study area. [AIP] |
