Abstract: |
Archaeological excavation and an intensive watching brief were carried out in advance of gravel extraction. Seven Bronze Age round barrows had been excavated, one of which was well preserved. It contained a succession of five central burials and a major deposit of cattle bone within the ditch. Three pit alignments and four small Iron Age enclosures were also investigated. [Au] |
