Abstract: |
Evidence suggested that the land within the assessment area remained relatively unaltered over the last two centuries. Maps record the farm buildings in the north-eastern part of the site from as early as 1819. However, brief examination of the buildings suggested that they were not significantly earlier than this date. The appearance and style of the other farm buildings, together with cartographic evidence, indicated that the separate structures comprising the site were built at various dates in the 19th and 20th centuries.
