Abstract: |
A resistivity survey was carried out at the proposed site of an angling lake, which lay on or close to the site of a papermill which had been in use in the 18th and 19th centuries. Two settlement lagoons for a nearby sewage works had lain on the site until recently. The results of the geophysical survey were dominated by the natural slope of the land and by linear low resistance features which were likely to have been related to drainage. All of the features revealed by the survey appeared to have related to either the natural topography or modern activity. [Au(abr)] |
