Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken on the site of a cropmark identified by aerial photography in 1995. The cropmark was seen as a rectangular enclosure which matched the style of Roman marching camps, this was further backed up by the presence of claviculae which were distinctly visible on the ground. A later phase of post medieval infilling of the ditch was evident from finds of that period. [AIP] |
