Abstract: |
The evaluation demonstrated that the development site was once subject to extensive quarrying associated with the Birdall family bronze foundary and that clay quarry pits backfilled with discarded moulds survived relatively undisturbed beneath both the present car park and the floor of the former store. No other features such as casting pits or furnaces were found.[Au(abr)] |
