Abstract: |
As part of an archaeological assessment, a desk-based and walkover survey was undertaken in advance of a proposed extension to a wastewater treatment plant. The survey area extended to c. 4ha, located to the west of the main complex of buildings. A small number of sites and finds had been previously recorded nearby, albeit outside the area of the proposed development. Although no upstanding earthworks were identified during the walkover there was some potential that remains of prehistoric or medieval date may have survived within the area. [Au(abr)] |
