Abstract: |
The assessment concluded that the potential of the site for the Mesolithic period could be defined as moderate. However, the remains of this period would have been most likely to be represented on the valley floor of the River Stor, along the eastern fringe of the site. The potential for the Neolithic period was defined as low to moderate and remains of this period could have been present on the northwest of the site. The archaeological potential for all other periods was defined as low though the site contained the location of the former Fryern Hall, which may have been of late medieval or early post-medieval origin.
