Abstract: |
Evidence of occupation from the 12th-14th centuries onwards was noted. Layers of that date were found at the eastern end of the site, while a pit or ditch of 14th or 15th century date was found in the central area. Probable late medieval occupation layers were observed in the north part of the site, while post-medieval pits and industrial features were revealed in the westernmost trench. The position of cottages demolished in the 20th century was also noted. [Au(abr)] |
