Abstract: |
The evaluation was carried out at a proposed development site, which was believed to have potential for medieval deposits. It was found that a great deal of building and demolition activity had occurred at the site during the previous 200 years. A deposit containing 18th-19th century pottery was noted and a residual Roman sherd was recovered, whilst seven abraded medieval sherds were found within a deposit which probably represented the medieval ground surface.
