Abstract: |
Despite archaeological features containing Anglo-Saxon and medieval pottery having been found previously in the grounds of the school during construction work, the watching brief revealed a largely natural sequence of deposits. Two undated features of possible archaeological origin were identified. Evidence of modern activity included the remains of bases of a greenhouse and a garage which had formerly occupied part of the site. Only limited disturbance had been caused by their construction.
