Abstract: |
After a desk-based assessment suggested that an area proposed for inclusion in a bypass scheme had archaeological potential, a geophysical survey and trial trenching were undertaken. A number of linear anomalies highlighted by the geophysical survey were transected by the trenches. They were found to be of a modern agricultural, rather than archaeological, origin. No other archaeological deposits or features were recorded and no further archaeological response was anticipated. [Au(abr)] |
