Abstract: |
A geophysical survey and an archaeological evaluation was undertaken in advance of a proposed development at Earls House hospital. The geophysical survey was limited due to proximity of buildings, fences, paths and modern services. However, a few anomalies of archaeological interest were detected. A total of seven evaluation trenches were excavated within the footprint of the proposed development. A series of late 20th century plough marks were recorded in trench 4. No other archaeological features or remains were recovered or recorded. [Au(adp)] |
