Abstract: |
The evidence recovered from the evaluation clearly showed that significant medieval occupation deposits were still present within the moated site of Parsonage Farm. The deposits, which lay below post-medieval overburden contained dating evidence of 12th-14th century date, as did a nearby rubbish pit. This seems to have been the period of the main focus of activity on the site. A flint-built wall uncovered was dated to no later than the 16th century. [Au(abr)] |
