Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation, consisting of the excavation of 13 trial trenches, was undertaken across the Barnhill Community Association Playing Fields prior to the proposed erection of a new school across the site. The trenches revealed the natural London Clay which was overlain by a layer of compacted subsoil which was capped by topsoil and turf. The evaluation established that there was no archaeological survival across the site. [Au(adp)] |
