Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during the construction of a hotel. This fulfilled a condition attached to the planning consent which was based upon the results of an earlier archaeological evaluation. A linear feature identified at the evaluation stage was observed during the watching brief along with an intersecting gully but no dating evidence was recovered from either. This possible prehistoric boundary ditch and tributary were cut into the brickearth. Additional features exposed were either considered to have been modern or due to natural disturbance. [Au(adp)] |
