Abstract: |
An archaeological desk-based assessment was carried out on land in the parish of Wickwar, South Gloucestershire. No archaeological features or deposits prior to the post-medieval period were identified. One post-medieval field boundary ditch, and the location of a 19th century brick kiln were located. The possibility still existed for there to be other archaeological remains present within the study area. It was also noted that there was a Scheduled Ancient Monument, Horse Bridge, on the perimeter of the study area and that any further development would have to account for this. [Au(adp)] |
