Abstract: |
The field evaluation of the site proposed for a community hospital consisted of five machine excavated trenches. Although two possible medieval enclosures were identified close to the site, no below-ground archaeological remains were identified. Only a few post-medieval and early modern finds were recovered from the topsoil. However, during the course of the evaluation, above ground earthworks were identified, including possible ridge and furrow. [Au(abr)] |
