Abstract: |
The report concluded that the site had a moderate archaeological potential for the earlier and later prehistoric periods and a moderate potential for the Roman period. It was likely that archaeological remains would have only been present in two small areas on the north-west and south-west of this part of the site. On the east of the site was an extensive area of open space, which appeared never to have been developed. Within that part of the study site occupied by buildings it was considered unlikely that the proposed development would have had a significant archaeological impact because of past-post-depositional impacts. In the open area to the east of the site it was likely that the proposed development would have a significant archaeological impact. [Au(abr)] |
