Abstract: |
A desk-based study of a proposed residential development at Bunkers Hill, Greetwell identified that the quantity of known archaeological sites within in the surrounding area combined with the sites proximity to Lincoln and the River Witham indicated that the proposal area was of high archaeological potential, although a third of the development area had been subject to recent of ironstone mining and was no longer of archaeological concern. A triple ditch, and a rectilinear enclosure, little of which was archaeologically known, were identified within the proposal area. [AIP] |
