Abstract: |
The present assessment concentrated upon finding and interpreting additional cartographic material as a supplement to an earlier assessment of the site. The report concluded that it appeared that Grove Hall and its associated buildings were removed when the railway tunnel beneath Beadon Road was constructed c.1875. The rest of the development site lay within the northern part of the garden shown on Rocque's map of 1746 and probably included the southern edge of the central axis and the greater part of the triangular plantation on its north-west side.
