Abstract: |
The relocation of an electricity substation at Back Elvet Bridge required the monitoring of the foundation excavations. The proximity of the building work to Elvet Bridge, a Scheduled Monument, required the taking of a series of rectified photographs. The sinking of a borehole was monitored and the results recorded. Evidence for a small outbuilding adjoining the bridge pier was found. The building works necessitated the removal of some stones from the bridge parapet and this was monitored and recorded. [Au] |
