Abstract: |
The site lay within 100m of the Stonehenge World Heritage Site northern boundary, in an area rich in prehistoric monuments, field systems, and settlements. The archaeological evaluation of the site comprised 12 trenches and five test pits. 12 post holes of modern date were identified as well as redeposited chalk rubble surfaces. All features identified were likely to have been related to the relatively recent military occupation of the site; no obviously pre-modern features or finds were recovered. [Au(abr)] |
