Abstract: |
A watching brief was undertaken during the excavation of a water pipeline. The route of the pipe traversed an area of archaelogical interest with activity dating mainly to the Romano-British period. No Saxon or medieval activity had been recorded. A number of undated ditches and gullies were found which were likely to have been of Romano-British date, but a lack of artefactual evidence meant that the dating was purely hypothetical. [AIP] |
