Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken on an area of land which lay close to Romano-British salt-making remains. There existed a possibility that deposits and finds from this period during the construction of the new garage showroom. A series of features were identified during the brief which were interpreted as being a cellar and a well from a brick-built 17th century structure which once stood on the site. Nothing else of archaeological significance was revealed. [AIP] |
