Abstract: |
The assessment identified that the proposed route of the gas pipeline within the northern part of the Forest of Dean passed through a relict industrial landscape relating to coal mining in the area from the 18th to the early 20th centuries. In particular the pipeline followed the alignment of several historic tramways which survived as forest tracks. [Au(adp)] |
