Abstract: |
A watching brief at Kendal Castle involved monitoring of the construction of a section of the footpath on the outer side of the moat, within the Scheduled area, to the east and west of the main entrance. The area had potential for the existence of masonry associated with an outwork or barbican, however, no significant archaeological deposits were recorded. This may have been due to the shallow depth of disturbance. [Au] |
