Abstract: |
A watching brief was undertaken during the digging of a pipe trench and a silage pit. The site lay immediately west of a known Roman fort. During the investigation part of the fort's defensive ditch was revealed along with part of a road, which may have been a perimeter road to the fort. Only a small amount of pottery was recovered. Environmental samples were taken of the ditch fills and the sections were recorded. [Au(adp)] |
